Heidi Rose, Artist
For as long as I can remember, I have loved drawing and painting pictures. I was blessed to have parents who supported and encouraged my artistic pursuits. I attended the Art Institute of Colorado in Denver and worked in the field of graphic art in California until relocating to the beautiful Pacific Northwest. Becoming a stay at home mom with my two kids, I returned to my first love of drawing and painting and have been happily pursuing it ever since.
Discovering beauty in the seemingly common and everyday sights in the world around me brings me joy. Whether that beauty is found in a colorful landscape, intricate flower, a lovable pet or dilapidated old barn, I am intrigued and inspired to tell its story. I find beauty in detail, so I most often portray my subjects in a realistic style. To express to the viewer just how I see that particular subject is a both a challenge and a delight. It’s my hope that others will discover through my art the remarkable and extraordinary beauty in ordinary things.
With our kids now grown, my husband and I are grandparents to three delightful grand-babies who keep the wonder and joy of life alive and fresh through their eyes.
